AUDITIONS FOR ANNIE THE MUSICAL, Age 10-19, Saturday March 1 and Sunday March 2. Audition for the award winning Young Artists Ensemble’s production of Annie. Those auditioning must prepare a one minute song and bring sheet music for our pianist. Everyone will be required to sing, dance and “cold read” from the script at auditions. Auditions will last 1 hour and 45 minutes and Callback Auditions will be held Monday evening March 3. The show will perform on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May 2nd – 18th. $175 participant fee due if cast. Director: Kelly Salisbury. Ventura County Master Chorale Children’s Choir concerts with Master Chorale of Ventura County. Auditions for new semester are scheduled for January 2, 3, and 4. Plan for second semester includes the Rutter Mass for the Children in March, in addition to regular concerts done by the choir and plans for a joint concert with the Atlanta Children's Choir under the direction of Paige Mathis. Auditions for the popular musical, "Les Miserables" (School Edition) will be held by the Performance Theatre for Young Artists, February 15-24, 2008, by appointment only. Call for Entries - The THOUSAND OAKS ART ASSOCIATION'S annual juried show will be held February 4-28 at the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, 2231-A Borchard Road, Newbury Park, California. More than one thousand dollars in prize money will be awarded. This show is open to all artists residing in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo and Orange counties. Slides or digital images and entry form must be received by January 11, 2008. The Juror is Jacquelyn Cavish, MFA, exhibiting painter, art teacher, and founding member of California Gold Coast Watercolor Society. Jury notification will be sent by January 21st. Accepted work must be hand delivered to the gallery on Friday, February 1 between 5:00 and 7:30 P.M. The reception will be held on Sunday, February 10, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. with awards ceremony at 5:00 P.M. CONEJO PLAYERS THEATRE is holding auditions for “Agatha Christie Takes Manhattan” Sunday, January 20 at 7:00pm and Monday and Tuesday January 21 and 22 at 7:30pm. Pereformance dates are April 11 through May 10. Also auditions are being held for “Nude with Pineapple” the comedy which was the very first production by the Conejo Players in 1958. This revival will celebrate the beginning of the Players golden Anniversary season! Audition dates are Sunday, January 27 at 7:00pm and Monday and Tuesday January 28 and 29 at 7:30pm.
