Betsy Randle invites you to Find Your Voice In a Song – 2008 Winter Workshops. For aspiring and accomplished singers alike! You may recognize Betsy around town as the mom on the hit series Boy Meets World. Or playing a multitude of roles at Ojai’s Theater 150. Or singing wherever they’ll let her. Wherever you know her from, she wants you to know she is running a workshop for people who want to sing and explore their voice in a song. Assisted by an accompanist, Betsy will help you select a song that stirs you, teach you how to approach it like a monologue put to music then prepare you to actually perform it (yes, you can) for the Final Showcase Weekend.

Next Workshop: Sundays: 2:30-5:30 pm, and Mondays: 5:30-8:30 pm, January 6 and 7 thru March 6,7,8 and 9th (the Showcase weekend). There will be a few slight changes in the times scheduled to accommodate the theater’s main stage productions. But these times stated are the basic plan. And we will need to skip one weekend in February because I’m booked to perform my own Cabaret Act in Mammoth on Valentine’s Day. But that does not cut into the 8 sessions offered plus the showcase weekend. Price per person: $420 which includes eight 3-hour sessions with Fern Barrishman’s accompaniment leading up thru the showcase weekend. For more information: email bettyism@hughes.net or call her at 805-640-1170 with any questions.
